Been keeping busy for 2011, thought it’d be great to give something back, so decided to make a small donation to SickKids Foundation.

Giving Back : Look Good Feel Better
Look Good Feel Better is a program that holds free makeup workshops for cancer patients. Women with cancer tend to lose their hair, eyebrows, eyelashes due to chemotherapy — so local volunteers would help teach them how to apply makeup which empowers them and helps to regain confidence in their appearance. M Studio Life used to volunteer once a month helping out with these workshops, but with a more hectic schedule, M Studio Life decided to donate money instead.

Giving Back : Japan Earthquake
M Studio Life has made a donation to the Canadian Red Cross supporting the Japan Earthquake – Asia Pacific Tsunami. Every bit helps, so if you’d like to also make a donation, please visit: www.redcross.ca
Charity : Centre For Dreams
M Studio Life just made a donation to the Centre For Dreams 101010 Campaign and thought it’d be great to help spread the word.
A good friend/hairstylist colleague of mine works for this organization. This organization is a day program dedicated to providing a curriculum designed specifically for adults with intellectual challenges. They provide these special individuals with educational programs and social skills training with the hopes of integrating them into the community – both independently and confidently. Unfortunately they are being kicked out of their current building and need funds to make the transition into a new one.

Sponsor – Kinetic Elements Launch Party
Kinetic Elements is a new and fresh contemporary modern dance company in Toronto. They have just been selected among only 5 other dance companies to be a part of the Toronto Fringe Festival this summer. Putting together a full 60 minute production requires rehearsals, costumes and dancers. To meet all these needs, Kinetic Elements is holding a launch party/fundraiser party on February 27, 2010. The fundraiser is being held at the Dovercourt House in Toronto with expectant of 100+ guests. There will be performances by Kinetic Elements, dancing and raffle draw throughout the night.
In support of the creative arts, M Studio Life decided to sponsor this event by donating One (1) Free Photo Shoot Session for the Raffle Draw to help this dance group out. Congrats goes out to “Michelle Mitchell” who was the winner of this prize!!!
