Food Review : Planta Toronto

For those that don’t know or have never been to Planta Toronto. Here’s a short breakdown about them :

Chase Hospitality Group opened Planta to create delicious food that promotes environmental sustainability. CHG partnered with Chef David Lee to fill a void in the market of upscale, full service, plant-based dining options. The restaurant’s vision is to celebrate innovative cuisine in a beautiful environment without the use of any animal products.

There’s more to responsible plant-based eating than just taking animals off the plate and their commitment to using high quality products from ethical suppliers provides the foundation for their chefs to be proud of the food they serve.

Disclaimer : Beauty PhD dined for lunch at Planta Toronto complimentary during a Press Event for Silk’n Titan. All opinions expressed are that of my own. This is not a sponsored post.

By all means, I’m not vegan or vegetarian, but I visited Planta Toronto for a Beauty Blogger Press Lunch & Event for Silk’n Titan recently and absolutely loved this restaurant! Everything from the unique decor, the amazing natural light it gets during the day and the tasty food that is second to none. I will definitely be coming back for more another day!

In the meantime, this was the Tasting Menu we received at the event :

* Cauliflower Tots with Truffled Pamesan
* Watermelon Poke with Smashed Avocado, Toasted Nori, Citrus Soya
* Kale Caesar with Mushroom Bacon, Pickled Onions, Parmesan, Sprouts
* The Bianca Pizza with Cauliflower, Potatoes, Capers, Caramelized Onions, Olives, Rosemary Chili Oil
* Eggplant Caponata with Zucchini, Cauliflower, Raisins
* Truffle Fries with Parmesan & Truffle Mayonnaise
* Field of Greens Cold Pressed Juice with Cucumber, Apple, Kale, Celery Romaine, Lemon

To be honest, it was ALL very good. Pretty much can’t go wrong with anything on the menu! Everything tasted so fresh and even without eating any meat, I was surprisingly very full at the end of the meal. I checked the prices on their website and they are slightly on the high side, as the restaurant is well-presented and more upscale, but totally worth it. Everything is very clean and oh-so-pretty. If you’re a Toronto Foodie, you’ll definitely get some amazing Instagram-worthy photos here!

If you’ve dined here before, what did you think of Planta?
